Lisbon, Porto, pasteis de nata, bacalhau: the image of Portugal is often translated through reductive elements, thus neglecting the almost infinite industrial potential of the other country on the Iberian Peninsula.
Beyond the obvious geographical proximity to the European market, Portugal ticks all the boxes for quality, local production in line with modern environmental issues. So no more long plane or boat trips to the other side of the world with a carbon footprint that leaves something to be desired. RESILIENT tank tops. are transported by truck and only cross three countries: Portugal, Spain and France.
This choice for the Iberian Peninsula can also be explained by the cultural proximity of one of our co-founders, Pedro. We know we couldn't have made a more Portuguese first name but he quickly understood that the textile world was going through a period of transition with the questioning of the “fast-fashion” model but also new modes of consumption involving digital and expectations. in connection with modern environmental issues.
We especially wanted to exploit this industrial potential for quality purposes. We wanted to ensure that our tank tops were in line with our brand image and that our products reflected new consumption patterns: durable and timeless.
Even if the fight against 'fast fashion' is far from won, by contributing our part and therefore finding alternative solutions, we will make the European textile industry a resilient component of our history.
